Cellular

The book that I was reading was called "Cellular" by Ellen Schwazrts, It was a really great book. I loved it because it was about a boy named Brendan who had it all. He was a boy who was the captain of the basketball team, he had a pretty girlfriend, and alot of friends. But untill the day he got diagnosed with leukemia. He was just so upset and mad at like everyone. After some days he went to the hospital because he had to stay there. And he met a girl named Lark. She was also a cancer patient, but she was in a worse condition than Brendan. At first he thought that Lark was kind of nuts because she would just be so peacefull, and not worried about anything. But thruogh the days, he started seeing her in a different way. And he started to fall in love with her. He wanted to be with her all day, and noone else but him to be with her. At the end she had a surgery which at first it was going good but then she had an infection that got out of control and she couldnt make it, sadly she died. And that day Bendan was going to see her to tell her hes going out of the hospital because he was allright already and he wanted to keep in touch with her. But then he heard from the doctor that she died, and he got really sad and mad.

For my next book I would like to read a book thats like a mystery or like kind of a scary book.

Theme

I think that the theme of the book A Child Called "It" is that children who are being abused should speak up, they shouldnt put up with all that suffering and torturing. They should live happy as there kids because were not kids the whole life and we have to live our childhoood. They should talk to an adult maybe at school so they can get some help. In the book, Dave was too afraid to speak up becuse he knew if his mom found out that he was trying to escape from her, he would get punished really badly with one of her games.

Connection

A Child Called "It"

When I was reading the book of A Chilled Called "It" , I remembered that I hear somewhere that Child Abuse is still going on around the world. And thy we can't hurt our future because they said that the kids are our future and the we need to treat them well. And adults need to take care of their kids not hit them or take advantage of them just because they think that they can't do nothing about it.

" Get one thing straight, you little som of a *****! There is nothing you can do to impress me! Do you understand me? You are a nobody! An It! I hate you and I wish you were dead! Dead! Do you hear me? Dead. "

That day, the reason why Davids mother snapped like that was because Davids teacher told David that the title that David made up for the schools news paper won and he gave a letter for Davids mother to read. David thought that maybe his mother would reward him and giving him some food so afterschool, David ran as fast a s he could to get to him houseto show her the letter. When David got home, he showed it to her and that's when she ripped it into small pieces in front of his face and screammed all those bad things to him.
